Software Engineer - Financial Models

Based in Dublin, Ireland

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate effectively within a small, dynamic team to understand and address the needs of both the team and clients.
  • Implement core business logic functionality for their web platform, including models for pricing, risk analysis, and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Show flexibility in full-stack development, working on both data services and front-end visualizations.
  • Gather and comprehend business requirements and specifications.
  • Contribute to bug fixes, testing, and validation processes.
  • Adhere to best practices in software development, including high coding standards, automated testing, documentation, and code reviews.
  • Work closely with a highly experienced team, gaining opportunities to expand your knowledge of modern development technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, Terraform, AWS, Docker, and React.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience in quantitative domains and data-rich environments.
  • Strong exposure to full-stack development for web applications.
  • Proficiency in a mainstream programming language, preferably C++ and TypeScript.
  • General working knowledge of web services.
  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Proficiency with Git version control.
  • 12-18 months of professional programming experience in a related domain.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.
