Stelfox is collaborating with an innovative U.S. company that leverages wasted energy to power high-performance computing data centers. These centers support clients who run energy-intensive GPU tasks for AI, large language models, bitcoin mining, and other demanding computational services.

They are looking to bring in a Staff Solutions Engineer who is a heavy hands-on engineer working in the pre & post implementation process directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Technical Solutions: Design, implement, and fine-tune cloud-based AI and ML solutions, leveraging the client’s infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness for users.
• Offer Expert Technical Support: Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing in-depth expertise and hands-on assistance to guide customers through complex deployment and optimization tasks.
• Support Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Initiatives: Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to assist customers in evaluating the client’s platform through proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, facilitating seamless transitions into full deployment and ongoing support.
• Optimize Workloads for Performance and Efficiency: Conduct benchmarking, workload validation, and performance testing to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness for customer workloads on the client’s platform.
• Lead Technical Demonstrations for Customers: Showcase the client’s cloud solutions through technical demos, discussions, and workshops, highlighting platform capabilities and empowering customers to get the most from their deployments.

Ideal candidates will have the following experience and skills:

• Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Proven experience working with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), including deploying and managing infrastructure.
• Kubernetes Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications, including experience in deploying, scaling, and managing clusters.
• Containerization (Docker): Experience building, managing, and deploying applications in Docker containers within cloud environments.
• Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate cloud infrastructure deployments.
• Linux: Strong command-line skills and proficiency in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Linux-based systems.
• Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, DNS) as they relate to cloud infrastructure.
• Performance Benchmarking & Optimization: Ability to conduct benchmarking, validate AI workloads, and optimize them for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and infrastructure management.
• Technical Documentation: Ability to produce clear, concise, and detailed technical documentation, including solution guides and customer-facing content.
