Job description
We are looking to recruit a Backend Software Development Engineer for the Server side web engineering team who has ambition to step into a Senior engineer role and enjoys taking ownership for the code, features and tasks they create when deploying into production and happy to advance a product forward for customers.
You will be joining a small (yet growing) highly successful product company who are building and delivering a complex first mover product to their industry domain with a growing customer base.

- Modern Tech Stack - Typescript, Node.js, React, AWS Services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, Cloudwatch plus many others), Docker containers, Kubernetes, IaC to list a few.
Preferred experience:
- A degree or Masters in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics or equivalent is preferred.
- 5-7 years commercial experience as a Backend Software Engineer, preferably creating and deploying applications/services onto cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Strong OOP & OO Design experience, understand the importance of good design and coding standards.
- Experience using JavaScript / ES6 and Typescript is highly preferred (we will consider other OO / functional language if you are open to working with Typescript on a regular basis in your role).
- Experience creating applications/services using a Microservices / Serverless architecture approach.
- Strong experience in REST API's
- Solid exposure to SQL / NoSQL databases
- Experience with Docker containers, IaC tools is preferred.
