Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer
Stelfox is partnering with one of the top providers of customer management services in Africa, supporting domestic and international clients. Headquartered in the UAE, the group comprises of companies across the African continent servicing brands from the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya and others.
As part of their expansion of their IT Technology hub in Galway, we are looking to recruit a Senior AWS Infrastructure engineer, focused on Infrastructure-as-a-service when switching physical servers within DC environment to an AWS environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (having additional exposure to Azure is an advantage but not essential).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud environments.
- Automate cloud deployment and configuration processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working on Cloud infrastructure services
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design principles.
- Experience in areas such as AWS IaaS, VPC/Transit, IAM, EC2, S3, Route 53, Cloudfront.
- Bonus experience if working with AWS Aurora or RDS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Solutions Architect certification
