Embedded Software Engineer (C++) - Ireland

 

My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their fast-paced, innovative team. The company is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies and software for the mobility sector.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance application software for in-vehicle systems in software-defined vehicles.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Provide maintenance and support for software deployed in production vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
  • Work collaboratively with team members on software architecture and solution development.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field; advanced degrees (MS/PhD) are preferred.
  • Over five years of professional experience in software development, not including internships.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Experience with Python and shell scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems design, particularly with preemptive, multitasking operating systems.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux, Android, or similar embedded operating systems.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and HTTP.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management tools, defect tracking systems, and peer review processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
