Business System Analyst
My client are a leading provider of management solutions for financial institutions, with commitment to fast and accurate results. The system, crafted by ALM practitioners, prioritizes ease of use and speed of calculations, making it the fastest-growing solution in the market today. Financial institutions of all sizes rely on my client to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and streamline financial performance management.
As a Business System Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the high-quality delivery of code by defining detailed functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with the development team. Your coordination between product and development teams will ensure that requirements align with strategic objectives. You will also work closely with the design team to create UI assets, participate in Scrum ceremonies, maintain a groomed requirements backlog, and coordinate with QA to define effective test plans.
Responsibilities:
- Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with the development team.
- Coordinate between product and development teams to align requirements with strategic objectives.
- Work with the design team to create necessary UI assets and ensure coverage of all required user flows.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies such as stand-up, grooming, sprint planning, and sprint review.
- Maintain a groomed requirements backlog and prioritize work for developers.
- Coordinate with QA to define effective test plans and test cases.
- Support development and QA teams by providing requirement clarifications.
- Document dependencies and prioritize team work accordingly.
Skills Required:
- Ability to understand complex business goals and translate them into organized development requirements.
- Strong ability to define detailed acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Comfortable asking probing questions to gather necessary information from various stakeholders.
- Detailed understanding of requirements backlog in the SDLC.
- Proficient in diagramming and presenting complex user or business flows.
- Ability to engage technical teams in discussions regarding implementation approaches.
- Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile best practices.
- Excellent ability to maintain detailed documentation.
- Highly organized and capable of multitasking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in development tools such as JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, and/or Microsoft Project.
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) implementation in technology organizations is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Certification in Agile methodologies is a plus.
