Business Analyst

Job title: Business Analyst

Location: Cork

My client is a fast-growing Fintech company in Cork and is looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst to join their team. You will be responsible for creating functional and technical specifications for the software devevlopment team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business requirements from stakeholders to ensure they are clearly defined and understood.
• Develop and maintain functional specifications and user stories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business requirements are implemented successfully.
• Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement.
• Develop and implement new business processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure the functionality meets business requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to the development team during the implementation phase.
• Conduct user training and create user manuals as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong SQL Knowledge.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus.
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA.
